Who we are
A Family Company That Never Left The Jobsite
Carstensen Construction is a family run general contractor working out of the west metro. We started out doing carpentry and we never stopped, which is why the same people who put your bid together are the ones you will see swinging hammers once the job starts.
Over the years the work grew into a few separate shops, one for remodeling and kitchens and baths, another for decks, and another for roofing and the rest of the exterior. It is all one company and one phone number now. Whether it is a full kitchen gut or a chimney that has been leaking through two winters, you are calling the same guy either way.
What you will not get from us is a high pressure sales appointment or a financing pitch that takes three hours at your kitchen table. We look at the job, tell you what it is going to take, and give you a number you can compare against anyone else.

Walkthrough
We come out and look at the actual job rather than pricing it off a photo you texted us.

Written Scope
You get the scope and the number in writing so nothing has to be remembered later.

Build
One crew works your house on a real schedule and cleans up before they head home.

Punch List
Everything on the list gets closed out before we ask you for the final payment.

Where We Work
We work throughout Minneapolis & the Twin Cities metro, which for us usually means Minneapolis and St. Paul plus the western suburbs like Minnetonka, Wayzata, Plymouth, Eden Prairie, Edina and Maple Grove. If you are a little outside that ring, call anyway and we will tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to be driving out there. We are based at 7575 Walnut Curve.
